Mrs. T

HELLO, I AM MRS. T

This is Mrs. T. She was in a pet store that you will hear me speak about a lot. She was in a cage with 6 other iguanas that were all her size. When I went to that store, she was in pretty rough shape. The owner said it was a male and that he was turned in because it was aggressive toward other males in the home. Well, I took "him" and brought "him" home. A few days later, I had "him" outside and noticed some aggravation in the way "he" was acting so I decided to bring "him" in. Later that night my children came running in my room. They were scared. We also had taken another iggy at the same time from him and they thought they were fighting. I went downstairs to see what they were so upset about. They thought the other iggy(who I will talk about in a few) had almost killed "him". Well, after looking at the things they were talking about, I realized "he" was not a "he" but in fact a gravid SHE and SHE laid 48 eggs. She was missing digits(fingers) and was rough but now I understood just why.

NO I did not let the eggs hatch and she is doing very well ever since. She was beginning the stages of MBD but I was able to take control of the problem and allowed her to recover from egg laying then went on with the treatment.

Her vet is very impressed with the results of her being here as well as we feel that she is a family member forever too.

That is the end of the abuse in her life.
