This is THE HORN.

Yep that is her name. She has a small horn at the top of her head and is quite the feisty one. I got her from the pet store that you read about before. She has a mouth infection and has been under treatment since she arrived. The history to her is not totally known but I do know that when I got her, the owners walked into a store that I was walking out of and had her in a carrier. I asked what it was she replied an iguana. I asked to see her and she said OK. I looked at her and knew she would be joining us here in my home. Her mouth was a wreck.

The owner proceeded to hand me a bottle of baytril that the vet had given her and I brought it along with her and her cage home. I looked at the baytril, it was dated NOVEMBER 2002. She (the owner) had never given the iggy the meds. That is why her lips seemed to hang over her mouth and she smelled. Now after being here for a short while, her mouth had healed a lot and she was doing great! So I adopted her to a lady who said she had iggys before and already had a cage. I went to see the cage and thought WOW how wonderful! So off to their house she went. Well, Today.... 4-5-03, I got the call that they did not want her anymore as she wasn't doing good. So I told her to bring her up. They did just that. beside being a little cranky, she seemed OK aside of her mouth being swollen again. So I started her back on Baytril and she will remain here. I also think she may be gravid so off to the vet we will go.
